« One single network behind all your technology »

For 28 years I've been turning technology into peace of mind. And since this year, with an in-house AI by my side. This is my 1-2-1 sheet: so that when you refer me, you know exactly who I am and how I work.

A 1-2-1 isn't a sales pitch: it's getting to know each other. Once you know who I am, how I work and who I can help, you'll be able to refer me with total confidence. And I'll do exactly the same for you.

You don't need to be technical to help me. It's enough to spot situations that many clients suffer without even realizing it: slow systems, backups nobody's checking, a corporate email that doesn't exist... Small details that turn into big problems if nobody solves them.

01 · Behind the curtain

Who's behind the servers

My name is Sergi Garcia and I've spent 28 years in Information Technology. I started in 1999, thrown into a project to tackle the Y2K bug: the first step of a journey that has taken me through nearly every corner of the industry.

I spent 12 years at Picis R&D (clinical and hospital software) as head of infrastructure and security across Barcelona, Paris and Boston: environments where a failure isn't a nuisance, it's a real risk to people's lives.

In 2010 I moved to Mallorca and founded SYSBalear from scratch. Today I serve everyone from small businesses to major hotel groups, and every project is led personally by someone with 28 years in the trade, with no middlemen.

My specialty? I solve the problems other IT people couldn't. I'm the IT guy's IT guy.

04 · How you can help me

If you hear someone say this...

You don't need to be technical to pass me a referral. It's enough to keep an ear out. Tap each phrase and I'll give you the exact words to introduce me naturally.

"Our company email is a Gmail / Hotmail address."that's me
💬 How to introduce me

"We all know how ridiculous it'd be to show up to a meeting in your underwear. Using Gmail as a company email is a bit like that. I know a guy who'll set it all up properly for you: domain, corporate email and security, no more worrying about it."

"We've got everything on Drive and that's enough for us."that's me
💬 How to introduce me

"Having it synced isn't the same as having a backup: if ransomware encrypts the local file, it encrypts the online copy too. I know a guy who'll set it up automated and protected. You won't lose data again."

"Everything's slow, email keeps failing, nobody knows who's in charge of what."that's me
💬 How to introduce me

"I know a guy who won't just fix it... he'll actually leave it working properly. Clients usually call him after going through 2 or 3 other technicians, and when he shows up, he doesn't patch things: he puts them in order."

"We got hit by a virus / we got hacked."that's me
💬 How to introduce me

"I know a specialist who this year uncovered a mail spying case at a local company and shut it down the same day. He's got an AI watching the systems 24/7."

"We're paying too much for IT and nobody's ever reviewed it."that's me
💬 How to introduce me

"I know a technical consultant who can review everything and help you save money, without hurting performance. If something can be improved, he'll do it. If not, he'll tell you straight."

"We're moving offices / we've got multiple sites and the phone system is a mess."that's me
💬 How to introduce me

"I know a guy who can improve your communications and, if you want, set it all up with a system that works far better than what you have now: network, VPN between sites and IP telephony."

"The company is growing and the technology hasn't kept up."that's me
💬 How to introduce me

"IT consulting isn't tech support: it's vision. I know a consultant who does a full audit and helps you define where you need to go technologically, with a clear, prioritized action plan."

"I want AI in my business but I don't know where to start."that's me
💬 How to introduce me

"I know someone who doesn't just talk about it: he's already done it. He's got his own AI running his company (email, invoicing, security) and now he builds it for other businesses too. Start small, with measurable results."

My ideal client

SMEs of 10 to 200 employees: hotels, clinics, professional practices, marine businesses, industry.
Who value peace of mind and security over the cheapest price.
With critical infrastructure that can't afford to go down.
Looking for a long-term relationship built on trust, not a firefighter for hire.
🎁 Exclusive BNI advantage

20% off hosting for direct referrals from fellow members, and 15% off the web maintenance plan for members of the group. Givers Gain applies to the numbers too.

06 · The service universe

I don't sell hours. I sell peace of mind

At SYSBalear we don't sell servers, hours, or standard packages. We offer technological peace of mind for businesses that need technology that works, every day, no excuses.

Tap each card to see how I really do it.

07 · Proven trust

From SMEs to multinationals

With absolute discretion as a core value. In the tourism sector, working with major groups means a room full of expectations and zero margin for error. And that's where I'm most at home.

+3,000
vulnerabilities audited and fixed at Barceló

A massive cybersecurity project across the servers of every hotel in the group worldwide. Delivered with an iron fist and a velvet glove, without cutting any service. With Barceló we didn't just do maintenance: we drove real technological evolution.

Same day
mail spying discovered and neutralized (2026)

Penny, watching 24/7, detected 3 compromised mailboxes at a client that were copying all incoming mail to external criminal accounts. Filters removed, server re-scanned and a report sent to the client, all the same day. That's cybersecurity managed by AI.

08 · Why trust me with a referral

This is how I work, no exceptions

Every project, as if it were my own

"I don't like doing things halfway. If I see a better way, I say so. If there's a risk, I get ahead of it. If it means starting early, I start early. I don't offer a service: I offer technological peace of mind."

Trust that's earned, not sold

"Some clients give me full access to their infrastructure, their systems, even their business worries. Because they know I'll take care of it better than if it were mine. That's not something you get through marketing."

Why I do this

"I could just be a salesman and delegate everything. But what I really love is solving problems, bringing order to chaos, and feeling useful."

"

Sergi has been with us for almost 8 years, managing our IT systems and networks. His professionalism and attention to detail have always lived up to our expectations.

09 · My superpower

The Memory Palace

I mentally recreate each client's infrastructure as a living 3D map: servers, subnets, domains, users, permissions, replicas and firewalls. I can "walk through" it as if I were moving between the racks. And it updates itself every time I go in.

  • I spot unusual patterns and configurations that don't add up
  • I anticipate problems before they show up
  • I help clients understand their own infrastructure

This mental system has let me solve problems in minutes that others had spent days trying to fix. And when something smells like smoke... I know exactly where to look.

10 · The AI leap · what we've done this year

28 years in the trade plus an in-house AI

Penny is my AI assistant, in-house technology built from the ground up. And she's not a promise: she's been working in real production for months, running my own business. The principle is non-negotiable: AI proposes, the human approves. And when she talks to a client, she only ever sees that client's information.

Penny, the SYSBalear AI, in the datacenter

24/7 assistant

Reads and answers email: nothing falls through the cracks

Classifies every sender, replies in the client's language (Catalan/Spanish/English), creates tasks and escalates what matters. And since this summer, she speaks with her own voice.

Invoicing

Invoices and renewals handled start to finish, on their own

Spots renewals coming due, generates the official invoice, downloads the PDF and sends it to the client, with 1 click and double confirmation. No hour ever goes unbilled.

Cybersecurity

The watchman who never sleeps

Our own agents on the servers, instant critical alerts, and the case of the exfiltration neutralized the same day.

The Council
25

specialized AI agents

A virtual leadership committee that reviews every decision before it's executed. They work and learn overnight.

Accounting

Balances to the cent

Automated double-entry bookkeeping, bank and card reconciliation. And it caught a 2,520 euro error from the outside accounting firm.

2026 websites

Premium websites with AI lead capture

sysbalear.com relaunched (160 pages, 4 languages, 99-100 performance score) and client websites where a dedicated Penny qualifies leads and sends the summary to the owner.

BNI CLASS

The group's presentations? Generated by my own ERP

The weekly 254-slide deck is now an automatic player: rotating spheres, 45-second countdown per member, photos pulled via Dropbox. One less headache for the group.

"With Penny at the helm I'm already billing double while working less, I never miss an hour to invoice."

PennyGood morning! Overnight I sent 2 renewal invoices (one in English, to 3 contacts) and detected 3 suspicious mail filters at a client. I've quarantined them.
SergiWere they malicious?
PennyYes: they were copying all incoming mail to external accounts. Removed, server re-scanned: clean. Report sent to the client, with a copy in your inbox. ✅

I do it for you too

Every week I try to generate useful, well-prepared referrals for my fellow members. A guide or practical example of what you offer helps me spot exactly who I can send your way.

Referring someone is a responsibility: when you do it, you put your relationship with your client on the line. That's why I commit to taking care of every referral as if it were my own client. And I expect exactly the same in return.

11 · My other side

Five bubbles. Five essences

Behind the servers there's also a person. Not everything I do makes it onto LinkedIn, but this is where the energy and the way of working that defines me actually comes from. Tap each essence to find out more.

Kill the DJ · Balloon · Barcelona

In the late 90s I discovered that electronic music connected me to something bigger than myself. In 1999 I co-founded the collective Kill the DJ (Barcelona) and the label Balloon; we brought our vision to clubs and stages for years, and I shared the booth with names like Ricardo Villalobos and Luciano. I even made it into La Vanguardia for the "DJs Against Hunger" festival. The headline read: "Techno takes over Sant Antoni". Weekends were electronic music; weekdays were IT. And that balance has stayed with me ever since.

12 · How to refer me

Passing me a referral is easy

1

Spot it

You hear one of the trigger phrases (or meet someone with an IT problem that never quite gets solved).

2

Introduce me

"I know a trusted IT guy with 28 years of experience and his own AI watching over everything. Want me to pass along his contact?"

3

Connect

Pass my contact along, or write directly to Penny: nothing ever gets past her or lost. She lets me know instantly, and I'll reach out to your client as soon as possible. That easy.

Penny (penny@sysbalear.com) never misses a thing: she'll confirm it with you and get it to me instantly.

Thanks for trusting me. Givers Gain.
